IFA Indonesia to Host International Tax Seminar, Featuring 22 Speakers

JAKARTA, DDTCNews – The International Fiscal Association (IFA) Indonesia is set to organise the 12th Indonesia Annual International Tax Seminar.

As the annual agenda of IFA Indonesia, the seminar will be held offline on Tuesday (10/12/2024) and Wednesday (11/12/2024) from 08.00 to 17.30 at the Financial Hall of Graha CIMB Niaga, Jakarta.

Aiming to provide up-to-date insights on global tax issues for all stakeholders, this seminar will present notable Indonesian and foreign speakers from various backgrounds.

Not only will the participants gain perspectives from the government, but they will also have the opportunity to hear insights from private sector representatives, tax consultants and academics. This seminar aims to serve as a strategic forum for discussions on present and future issues and challenges in international tax policy.

The topics comprise the latest developments in Pillar 1 and Pillar 2, international tax policy updates and anti-tax avoidance measures, transfer pricing, the evolving UN Model Convention and the emergence of other international tax provisions.

IFA Indonesia Chairman Ichwan Sukardi will deliver opening remarks. The DGT Director of International Taxation Mekar Satria Utama and President of IFA Guglielmo Maisto are scheduled as keynote speakers.

To explore critical tax topics, this seminar will feature 22 speakers. The speakers include Transfer Pricing Leader & Senior Advisor of DDTC Consulting Romi Irawan, National Tax Agency of Japan Junya Toya and KPMG Indonesia Dewi Tamara.

Further, Marketing Director Hans Advisory & Trust Co Ltd Norazlin HJ ABD Jalil, EY Global Tax Controversy Leader Luis Coronado, Director of International Tax Management Pte Ltd Nico Derksen, Professor of Law and Dr. Thomas F. Carney Distinguished Scholar Boston College Law School USA Diane Ring.

There are also the Partner of DR & Aju LLC You Lee Jung, International Tax Analyst of the Fiscal Policy Agency (Badan Kebijakan Fiskal/BKF in Indonesian) Melani Dwi Astuti, Gakushuin University Japan Clemence Garcia, Senior Counsel of Slotine Hong Kong Law Firm Anne Quenedey.

The seminar will be structured into multiple sessions, each focusing on different topics. Each session will be led by a moderator, including TP Partner PB Taxand Elviana Riyanto, Tax Advisor Tax Prime Bobby Savero, University of Indonesia Lecturer Christine Tjen, KPMG Indonesia Partner Jaap Zwaan and RSM Indonesia Salil Goyal.
