LONDON, DDTCNews - From London, UK, comes another proud moment for DDTC. At the prestigious Asia-Pacific (APAC) Tax Awards 2025, organised by the International Tax Review, a London-based international institution, DDTC secured two distinguished accolades.
DDTC was named Indonesia Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year 2025 under the Jurisdiction Awards category and also earned the coveted title of Asia-Pacific Tax Innovator of the Year 2025 in the Regional Awards category.
Representing the Founders of DDTC, Darussalam and Danny Septriadi, Transfer Pricing Director & Senior Advisor Romi Irawan attended the gala ceremony of the ITR APAC Tax Awards 2025 held at the Londoner, Leicester Square, London, UK, on Thursday evening (19/9/2025).
Announcing the winners, ITR Editor at Legal Benchmarking Group, Thomas Baker, highlighted that DDTC's recognition as Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year reflected the firm's proven expertise in delivering transfer pricing solutions for clients.
“The ITR Awards judging process is exceptionally rigorous and impartial, led by an experienced editorial and research team of this publication. Each submission undergoes thorough scrutiny, combining written evidence, interviews with clients and peer feedback to ensure a comprehensive evaluation," Thomas stated.
ITR's Head of Research, John Harrison, further elaborated that the entire research process in selecting the winners seeks to spotlight leadership and innovation across all categories.
“This includes identifying significant achievements and broader contributions in every sector,” he added.
John also underlined that DDTC's distinction as Tax Innovator of the Year recognised the company's steadfast commitment to maximizing the role of the tax profession for the public at large through a wide array of impactful innovations.
It is worth noting that one of DDTC's flagship innovations was also highlighted during the award presentation, namely Perpajakan DTC, a comprehensive Indonesian tax reference portal developed by DDTC.
Reflecting on this notable achievement, DDTC Founder, Darussalam, describes the awards as international validation of DDTC's consistency throughout its 18-year journey. DDTC has remained persistent in upholding its vision, mission and values, maintaining a balance between commercial and non-commercial pursuits.
Darussalam further noted that all of the firm’s initiatives are rooted in the reality that a tax-literate society is still in the making, with relatively low tax compliance and awareness, limited tax basis and a lack of tax experts.
To address the aforementioned challenges in establishing a tax-literate society, DDTC continues to deliver innovations. These two awards affirm that DDTC's professionalism and innovation can go hand in hand in developing an ideal tax ecosystem.
Milestone Achievements for DDTC
Echoing the views of Darussalam and Danny Septriadi, Transfer Pricing Director & Senior Advisor Romi Irawan stated that winning the Tax Innovator of the Year and Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year awards marks a significant milestone for DDTC.
Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year stands as a testament to the dedication of all DDTC professionals in providing the highest level of services to clients, specifically in terms of expertise on transfer pricing matters.
This award also reaffirms DDTC's pioneering role in shaping the implementation of transfer pricing in Indonesia. From the outset, DDTC has positioned itself as a bridge between taxpayers (corporates) and the authority (DGT) in addressing transfer pricing issues.
As a concept that is essentially neutral, transfer pricing within the multinational enterprise business scheme is aligned with the interests of the tax authorities to safeguard against state revenue leakage.
The Tax Innovator of the Year award further embodies DDTC’s role as a forward-thinking tax consulting firm. This marks the second time DDTC has been shortlisted, following its first nomination in 2023.
DDTC’s inclusion among the nominees signals international recognition of its continuous innovations to engender an improved tax system.
In selecting nominees, the ITR assesses programmes and policies implemented over the past 1 year. DDTC is recognised for its innovations that reinforce its role in shaping an ideal tax system in Indonesia.
On another note, ITR is a leading global news and analysis service provider, offering practical information on three core areas, including direct tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing.
These awards stem from the ranking conducted by the ITR. With independent research and coverage of the world's leading tax firms and practitioners, the ITR seeks to accurately compare tax firms and practitioners with peers.
At the ITR Asia-Pacific Tax Awards 2025, DDTC was also a nominee in 15 categories. Of the 15 categories, DDTC was shortlisted in 5 categories in the Regional Awards group at the Asia-Pacific level and 3 awards in the Jurisdiction Awards group.
This year’s victory adds to DDTC's growing list of accolades. In 2021, DDTC was named the Indonesia Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year. Next, in 2022, DDTC won Pro Bono Firm of the Year at the Asia Pacific level.
Further, in 2024, DDTC once again captured multiple honours, including the Indonesia Tax Dispute Firm of the Year and Pro Bono Firm of the Year awards. (sap)
