PADANG, DDTCNews - DDTC has once again strengthened its collaboration with Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) through the DDTC Goes to Universitas Negeri Padang: Talkshow and DDTC Grand Internship Selection 2026 event.

Held at the Auditorium of UNP's Faculty of Economics and Business (Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis/FEB in Indonesian) on Wednesday (4/11/2026), the event was attended by 217 participants. Through this programme, students had the opportunity to learn more about the working environment and career development at DDTC, whilst also taking part in the internship selection directly.

The event was opened by FEB UNP Dean, Perengki Susanto, who expressed his appreciation for the partnership that has developed between DDTC and UNP. He noted that the collaboration represents one form of link and match between the world of education and the world of work.

“DDTC is a firm of international scale. We are very proud that DDTC could come directly to Padang and conduct the grand selection. This is an opportunity we have greatly anticipated. We also understand that the DDTC selection process is highly rigorous. We hope that some participants will be chosen,” he said.

Perengki also emphasised that proficiency in English is one of the key prerequisites for passing DDTC's selection, given that DDTC is a tax consultancy firm with an international standing.

He therefore reminded students not only to study taxation, but also to prepare for the TOEFL test as part of DDTC's selection process.

Meanwhile, Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Alumni of FEB UNP, Marwan, also delivered an introductory address. In his remarks, Marwan likened DDTC's visit to FEB UNP to the Indonesian proverb of killing two birds with one stone.

“This morning we are gaining knowledge from DDTC. Moreover, we can also witness that the FEB UNP students have successfully become alumni of DDTC's internship programme, which is itself an achievement,” he said.

Following the opening ceremony, the event continued with a talkshow featuring DDTC Head of Human Capital, Adinda Nur Larasati, DDTC Human Capital Generalist, Inayya Putri Pidata and Sakinah Putri Trismayanti, a current undergraduate Accounting student at UNP and alumna of the DDTC Executive Internship Programme (EIP).

The discussion was moderated by Ahmad Rahbani Sulaiman, overseer of the UNP Vocational Accounting Student Association.

In her presentation, Adinda explained the working culture that DDTC has built, including the competencies students need to prepare when entering the professional world. She noted that technical skills alone are insufficient, as personal qualities and interpersonal abilities also play an important role.

“In line with DDTC's slogan, Sets the Standards and Beyond, fellow students must be willing to learn more and prepare more to pass DDTC's internship selection. It is important for students to sharpen their soft skills from now, so that they are ready to work immediately upon arriving at DDTC's office in Jakarta,” she said.

Meanwhile, Inayya provided an overview of the learning experience that participants would gain through the DDTC EIP. The programme gives students the opportunity to gain direct experience in a professional working environment.

“You will be invited to learn through various forms of learning. We focus 70% on experiential learning, meaning you will directly handle projects rather than simply studying tax theory,” she explained.

In addition to gaining an overview of the programme from DDTC's Human Capital team, participants also heard first-hand from Sakinah about her experience during her internship at DDTC.

As a UNP student who has completed the DDTC EIP, Sakinah shared that she had a positive experience throughout the internship programme.

“I gained a great deal of invaluable experience during my internship at DDTC. The one thing that stood out most was that DDTC provides space for us to grow and learn. The environment is very supportive and encourages you to consistently give your best at work,” she said.

Participants' enthusiasm was also evident during the discussion session with the speakers. To recognise this participation, DDTC prepared 10 books published by DDTC as prizes.

Five copies of Lembaga Peradilan Pajak di Indonesia: Persoalan, Tantangan, dan Tinjauan di Beberapa Negara were awarded to participants who provided the best comments. A further five copies of Persetujuan Penghindaran Pajak Berganda: Panduan, Interpretasi, dan Aplikasi (Edisi Kedua) were given to participants who actively engaged in discussion with the speakers.

DDTC Grand Internship Selection 2026

After the talkshow concluded, the event continued with the DDTC Grand Internship Selection 2026, held exclusively for FEB UNP students.

A total of 95 students participated in the in-person selection from 11.00 to 16.00 Western Indonesia Time. Students who successfully pass through the selection process will have the opportunity to participate in the DDTC EIP directly at DDTC's Jakarta office.

For information, DDTC and UNP also previously held an internship selection for UNP students in 2024. That event further continued the collaboration between DDTC and UNP in the field of education and talent development.

Through this event, students not only gained insight into the professional world, but also had the opportunity to participate in the selection process to obtain professional experience through the DDTC internship programme.

Also in attendance at the event were FEB UNP lecturer and Chairperson of PERTAPSI for the West Sumatra and Jambi Region, Charoline Cheisviyanny, overseer of the Accounting Department Student Association, Ridha Azka Raga and overseer of Kepma FEB UNP, Oknaryana.

Also present were FEB UNP Accounting lecturer Rino, Head of the UNP Tax Centre, Herlina Helmy, Head of the Master's Programme in Accounting Science, Nurzi Sebrina and FEB UNP lecturer, Sany Dwita. (rig)
