DEPOK, DDTCNews – DDTC once again participated in the Job & Certification Fair 2026, organised by the Accounting Professionalism Study group (Studi Profesionalisme Akuntansi/SPA in Indonesian) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia (Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Indonesia/FEB UI in Indonesian), held at the FEB UI Selasar on Wednesday (28/10/2026).

DDTC's participation this year follows on from its involvement in last year's event, which was received positively by visitors. At that time, students and fresh graduates flocked to the DDTC booth to find out more about career and development opportunities in the world of taxation.

This year, DDTC returned with the same spirit, but offering a more interactive experience. DDTC not only provided information on career opportunities, but also invited visitors to explore the breadth of professional options within the tax ecosystem.

This is important given that professions in the field of taxation are frequently associated with roles limited to tax consultancy or relevant only to accounting graduates. In reality, the world of taxation intersects with many disciplines and requires a wide range of expertise.

At DDTC, for example, there are various fields that can serve as career paths, ranging from transfer pricing, tax compliance, dispute and litigation, tax research, through to tax communications and journalism.

This diversity of fields demonstrates the many options available for building a career in the world of taxation, in line with each individual's interests, competencies, and potential.

DDTC Founder Darussalam stated that the multidisciplinary nature of taxation opens opportunities for younger generations with increasingly diverse talents to contribute.

"DDTC, as a tax institution that consistently supports the development of tax education, is delighted to provide opportunities for young people to grow in accordance with their passion in the field of taxation," he said.

Darussalam believes that the abundance of talent with diverse capabilities can help the public understand tax more effectively.

"We need many talents to be able to bring tax down to earth. So, the opportunity is not simply to become a consultant. There is plenty of room for younger generations to take on roles and bring their individual expertise into the world of taxation," he said.

Discover a Tax Career Through DDTC Tax DNA

This commitment to introducing the breadth of career options was then realised by DDTC through an interactive activity entitled DDTC Tax DNA.

DDTC Tax DNA is a personality quiz that invites visitors to identify their character, interests and personal tendencies, which are then mapped to various professional fields in the world of taxation.

Visitors simply answer a series of questions to discover the persona that best reflects who they are. The results can reveal, among others, whether they have a tendency towards being a Tax Advocate, Tax Innovator, Tax Communicator or another persona.

Each persona represents a character and a tendency of interest towards a particular field. With this approach, conversations about tax careers, which are generally associated with explanations of positions and job roles, are repackaged into a more personal and interactive experience.

Through this activity, DDTC wishes to demonstrate that someone interested in disputes can find their place in the world of tax. The same applies to those who enjoy technology and innovation, research and analysis, or communications and writing.

In other words, work in the field of tax is not limited to administrative matters or roles associated with numbers. The tax ecosystem provides space for diverse capabilities to develop and complement one another.

In addition to taking part in DDTC Tax DNA, booth visitors were also able to interact directly with DDTC professionals, including DDTC Head of Human Capital, Adinda Nur Larasati, and DDTC Human Capital Generalist, Inayya Putri Pidata.

Also present were DDTC Corporate Communication Lead, Idznila Shabrina, and DDTC Corporate Communication Specialist, Gasi Dhias.

By the time this article was published, the DDTC booth had already been visited by hundreds of students and remained open until 17:00 Western Indonesia Time. One of the visitors to the DDTC booth was Karimah, a fifth-semester student of the Accounting Study Programme at FEB UI. She noted that she had already visited the DDTC booth at the previous year's event and had since begun preparing herself for a career at DDTC.

"Last year I visited the DDTC booth and since then I have been motivated to join DDTC. I have also been preparing myself by completing A and B tax course/training. This year, I came again to ask questions and to finalise my preparations for sitting the DDTC internship test," she said.

Karimah is also keen to take part in an internship programme in transfer pricing. She hopes that her preparations will open the opportunity to gain professional experience at DDTC.

"I wish to become a transfer pricing intern at DDTC. I hope DDTC continues to grow from strength to strength," she said.

For visitors unfamiliar with careers in the tax sector, the experience at the DDTC booth is hoped to open a new perspective that career options within the tax ecosystem are far broader than they had previously imagined.

DDTCNews readers can also take part in this quiz via the DDTC Tax DNA page. Do not forget to share the results on social media so that others can also discover the diverse characters and career options available in the field of taxation.

A Comprehensive Opportunity to Learn About Tax

Not only through campus activities, DDTC's efforts to support the development of young talent in the field of taxation are also realised through its internship programme.

DDTC has a programme known as the DDTC Executive Internship Programme (EIP), an internship programme designed to international standards.

Through this programme, participants do not merely gain work experience; they also receive the opportunity to study taxation comprehensively and to be directly involved in professional practice.

The programme serves as a means for students and fresh graduates to become acquainted with a professional environment whilst honing the knowledge and skills required in the workplace. As of September 2026, the DDTC internship programme has produced more than 250 alumni.

By allowing young talent to learn and gain practical experience, DDTC endeavours to help establish a generation of tax professionals with a broad perspective and ready to face the evolving world of taxation.

Information on career opportunities and internship programmes at DDTC can be found in the booklet DDTC Executive Internship Programme. (rig)
