No Dedicated Channel, Suahasil Guarantees Complaints Acted On

JAKARTA, DDTCNews - Minister of Finance, Suahasil Nazara, has guaranteed that members of the general public and internal employees of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) may still report indications of violations, fraud, corruption or bribery at the MoF.

Suahasil stated that the MoF has several reporting channels accessible to the public. Reports from the public will be followed up formally through the MoF's institutional mechanisms.

"MoF reports are generally public. Because I know this is a concern, if necessary we will draw up a list of channels for reporting anything and everything and we will handle that institutionally," he said, as quoted on Monday (21/9/2026).

Suahasil indicated, without elaborating explicitly, that he has not opened a dedicated reporting channel, for example, a 'Lapor Pak Menkeu' (Report to the Finance Minister) channel such as that operated by his predecessor, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.

Nonetheless, he guaranteed that both the public and internal employees may continue to submit complaints through channels already available at the MoF and its echelon-I units, including the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) and the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGCE).

"The reporting channels at each echelon-I unit and at the Ministry of Finance as a whole remain public. We invite people to report through those channels," said Suahasil.

At present, the MoF operates the Whistleblowing System (Wise) application as a complaint channel. In addition, the DGT has an official complaint e-mail address at [email protected] as well as a complaint portal that can be accessed according to the classification of the complaint at https://pengaduan.pajak.go.id/form.

Suahasil noted that reports received will be followed up by the MoF's Inspectorate General (Itjen) and other MoF echelon-I units.

"I have an inspector general whom I have asked to look at the general overview; what any report means, and we will then follow it pursuant to the applicable provisions," he claimed. (rig)
