Facilitating ADIT Certification, DDTC Gains International Recognition
JAKARTA, DDTCNews – DDTC Academy has once again been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Taxation, UK, as a trusted international course provider for delivering Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) certification preparation.
The recognition was confirmed by Rory Clarke, ADIT Manager at the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT). He stated that DDTC Academy is included in the official list of international ADIT training providers and has been recognised since 2019.
“DDTC Academy offers a training programme relevant to the ADIT curriculum to prepare students for the ADIT examinations,” he said in his electronic correspondence on Wednesday (16/10/2024).
Please note that CIOT does not itself provide training. All ADIT examinations are administered directly by the CIOT, and certification for candidates who have completed the ADIT qualification is also issued solely by the CIOT.
Nevertheless, the CIOT acknowledges that DDTC Academy has taken the initiative to serve as an ADIT course provider for students. DDTC Academy is the sole ADIT training provider in Indonesia.
On its official website, the CIOT divides training providers into 3 groups. First, training specifically for ADIT, comprising 41 providers for the principles of international taxation module and 35 providers for the transfer pricing module.
Second, relevant training not specific to ADIT, comprising 4 providers for the principles of international taxation module and 6 providers for the transfer pricing module. Third, training offered by universities, comprising 19 providers for the principles of international taxation module and 16 providers for the transfer pricing module.
DDTC Academy falls within the group of training providers specific to ADIT, for both the principles of international taxation and transfer pricing modules.
Accordingly, DDTC Academy is placed on a par with other institutions as a specific ADIT training provider, such as Tolley Exam Training (United Kingdom), Taxmann (India), the Irish Tax Institute (Ireland) and IBFD.
In CIOT's presentation, DDTC is described as a research- and knowledge-based tax firm originating from Indonesia. With a mission to eliminate information asymmetry within the Indonesian tax society, DDTC Academy provides high-impact tax apprenticeship programmes.
Training programmes in international taxation and transfer pricing are designed according to standards set by leading educational institutions, in line with the latest global developments.
DDTC Academy is also supported by highly qualified instructors, including holders of the ADIT certification as well as specialist certificates in Principles of International Taxation and Transfer Pricing.
To date, 34 DDTC professionals hold certifications from CIOT. Of these 34 professionals, 24 hold the Paper 1 Principles of International Taxation certificate and 17 hold the Paper 2 Jurisdiction Options certificate. Further, 29 are certified in Paper 3 Transfer Pricing Option. In addition, 17 have attained the ADIT designation by passing the examinations and holding certificates in all three papers.
DDTC also consistently invests in developing its human resources through overseas training, including at Tilburg University, ITC Leiden, the University of Amsterdam, the Vienna University of Economics and Business, IBFD, Duke University, Harvard Kennedy School, the World Customs Organization and other institutions.
For information, ADIT is a professional certification offered globally to international tax professionals by CIOT, which is headquartered in the United Kingdom. All programmes offered by training providers are independent of CIOT. (rig)
