DDTC Attends Tax Academy of Singapore‘s 20th Anniversary
SINGAPORE, DDTCNews - DDTC accepted an invitation to attend the 20th anniversary celebration of the Tax Academy of Singapore (TAS), held at Revenue House, Singapore, on Friday (31/7/2026). DDTC Founders, Darussalam and Danny Septriadi, was represented by DDTC Consulting Managing Partner, David Hamzah Damian.
The celebration of two decades of the TAS was attended by various stakeholders in the field of taxation, including tax authorities, academics, business practitioners and tax professionals. The event also served as the moment for the launch of the Tax Academy of Singapore Hub. As a strategic partner committed to strengthening collaboration, the DDTC logo was featured prominently within the Tax Academy of Singapore Hub.
Tax Academy CEO, Dennis Lui, said the Tax Academy of Singapore Hub represents one of the most significant milestones in TAS's development. Previously, TAS had been renting training space owned by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) located in the basement or B1 level.
"We can now occupy a strategic location on the first floor, near the main entrance of the IRAS building, with significantly improved facilities," he said.
Dennis added that the enhancement of facilities further supports TAS's mission of developing professional capacity in the field of taxation. Moreover, the current development of artificial intelligence (AI) presents new challenges for professionals.

Beyond competency development, TAS can also serve as a forum for various stakeholders to exchange ideas on taxation issues. Collaboration is not limited to tax matters in Singapore, but extends to other countries, including Indonesia.
"Entrepreneurs, academics and tax authorities can work together and exchange ideas. These include not only [developments in] Singapore's taxation, but also Indonesia's," he said.
On another note, TAS is a non-profit institution established by IRAS in collaboration with various international institutions or firms and professional associations, including the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals and the Law Society of Singapore.
David Hamzah Damian said DDTC's presence at the launch of the Tax Academy of Singapore Hub is a testament to its commitment to strengthening collaboration, particularly given DDTC's vision as a tax institution grounded in research, technology and knowledge that upholds high and sustainable standards.
Today, DDTC has also received a Museum Rekor - Dunia Indonesia (MURI) award for DDTC Academy as the operator of international tax and transfer pricing training recognised by the international body the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT), UK.
Previously, DDTC also received a MURI award for the record achieved by DDTC Library as the tax library holding the largest collection of tax literature.
"Indonesia and Singapore have long maintained a strong cooperative relationship. From an international perspective, a number of tax-related policies in both countries not infrequently influence one another. We are ready to strengthen our collaboration," said David.

Moreover, TAS also pursues several goals. First, to become a centre of excellence in tax education and a regional tax knowledge hub.
At present, TAS offers a structured Tax Training Roadmap for tax professionals to attain a high level of competency in both domestic and international taxation.
Second, to serve as a driver of thought leadership on taxation issues. TAS is committed to supporting policy-relevant and practice-oriented research in the field of international taxation, with a particular focus on the economies and tax systems of Asian countries.
Third, to serve as a platform for the exchange of tax knowledge. TAS currently creates various opportunities for tax professionals to keep abreast of global tax developments through seminars and conferences.
TAS also brings together tax experts from industry, academia, and government — both domestic and international — to engage in the professional exchange of knowledge and experience. (rig)
