JAKARTA, DDTCNews – Ahead of its 19th anniversary, DDTC has once again set a record at the Museum Rekor - Dunia Indonesia (MURI).

Previously, a MURI record was conferred on DDTC Library for holding the largest collection of tax literature. This time, the record has been set for DDTC Academy as the first international tax and transfer pricing training provider in Indonesia to be recognised by an international institution.

The MURI record medal and certificate for First International Tax and Transfer Pricing Training Provider Recognised by the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT-UK) were presented by MURI Chief Operating Officer, Yusuf Ngadri, to DDTC Founders, Darussalam and Danny Septriadi, on Friday (31/7/2026).

MURI Chief Operating Officer, Yusuf Ngadri, stated that the award does not merely mark a new achievement, but also epitomises DDTC's steadfast contribution to developing internationally standardised tax education in Indonesia.

"Some records are broken over time. However, this record [DDTC Academy as the first international tax and transfer pricing training provider in Indonesia recognised by the CIOT] will not be broken. It is a permanent record. [The record of] being the first cannot be surpassed," he said at Menara DDTC.

This record was awarded not merely because DDTC Academy organises international tax and transfer pricing training, but because that training has received official recognition from one of the world's most prestigious tax certification institutions, the CIOT, United Kingdom (UK).

In an increasingly integrated global economy, cross-border and intra-group tax issues are no longer marginal concerns. A sound understanding of international tax and transfer pricing is now not merely an option, but a necessity.

Recognition from an international institution is also more than mere administrative status. It is the pinnacle of a long-term commitment to maintaining the quality of instructors, updating the curriculum in line with current developments and continuing to broaden access for participants from diverse backgrounds.

DDTC Founder, Darussalam, expressed his gratitude for this recognition. For him, the MURI award is not an end goal, but rather an affirmation of DDTC's long journey in building an ecosystem of tax education and training that is recognised at the international level.

"For us, this MURI record is not merely an award. It is an affirmation that our efforts to build internationally standardised tax education in Indonesia have received recognition, both from international certification institutions and at the national level,” said Darussalam.

At a glance, the CIOT administers the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT), which comprises 3 modules: international tax, jurisdiction-specific taxation and a thematic option, one of which is transfer pricing. A candidate who passes all three modules is entitled to hold the ADIT designation.

The CIOT's recognition of DDTC Academy has been in place since 2019. Prior to that, from 2012, DDTC Academy had already been consistently developing training programmes in the fields of international tax and transfer pricing. To date, a total of 46 training batches have been delivered (33 comprehensive transfer pricing training batches and 13 comprehensive international tax training batches), attended by a combined total of 1,059 participants.

Each comprehensive training scheme (intensive course) always concludes with an examination to assess participants' mastery of the subject matter. Accordingly, participants who are declared to have passed will receive a certificate of excellence, in addition to a certificate of completion awarded to all participants.

Further, following recognition from the CIOT, since 2021 DDTC Academy has also delivered 9 batches of the ADIT Exam Preparation Course, which, to date, has been attended by 152 participants, comprising 81 participants for Paper 1: Principles of International Taxation and 71 participants for Paper 3: Transfer Pricing.

DDTC Academy develops its curriculum by referencing leading institutions and universities and applies examination standards comparable to those of the ADIT CIOT, UK. The subject matter is also continually updated in line with the latest developments. This achievement is inseparable from the strength of the human resources behind it.

Investment in Human Resources

The recognition by an international institution of DDTC Academy as an international tax and transfer pricing training provider, including ADIT certification preparation, did not come about overnight. Behind it lies DDTC's sustained investment in building the competencies of its professionals to meet international tax education and practice standards. Consistent investment in human resources is the key.

Through the Human Resource Development Programme (HRDP), DDTC allows its professionals to continue developing their competencies through both formal and non-formal education as well as certification, both domestically and abroad.

The knowledge acquired then becomes part of DDTC's continuous learning cycle through knowledge-sharing activities. One manifestation of this is the involvement of those professionals as instructors across various training programmes at DDTC Academy.

To date, DDTC has 14 professionals holding the ADIT designation, 21 professionals holding international tax certificates and 25 professionals holding transfer pricing certificates from the CIOT, UK. In addition, a number of DDTC professionals hold postgraduate degrees from renowned universities across the globe.

The academic foundations of DDTC's professionals also help to ensure that the content delivered in DDTC Academy's training programmes not only keeps pace with developments in Indonesian regulation, but also draws on international concepts, best practices, global policy developments, and international academic standards.

An Integrated Ecosystem

This ecosystem is further strengthened by DDTC Library, which now houses nearly 5,000 tax literature titles. The MURI record that has also been awarded to DDTC Library was not achieved overnight. Read ‘More Than a Souvenir: The Tradition Behind tDDTC Library‘s MURI Record’.

That strength is further enhanced through the support of the DDTCNews and Perpajakan DDTC platforms, which provide news, policy analysis, regulatory reviews, and credible, regularly updated tax references.

In addition, DDTC has also published 43 books on taxation. Several of these specifically address international tax and transfer pricing. The majority of DDTC's publications also employ an international comparative study approach.

This entire ecosystem forms a mutually reinforcing learning cycle. Knowledge developed through research, publications and professional practice then becomes the subject matter for an apprenticeship at DDTC Academy.

Conversely, the experience of teaching and engaging in discussion with training participants also enriches the perspectives of DDTC's professionals, including in the delivery of consultancy, advisory and tax policy research services.

This is the model that DDTC Academy seeks to offer to the public through its various programmes. Members of the general public and Indonesian tax professionals no longer need to travel overseas to access apprenticeship that meets international standards.

DDTC Academy bridges the gap, allowing access to world-class tax education and training from Indonesia. All programmes are continually updated to remain relevant to the dynamics of both national and global tax practice.

The training on offer covers not only international tax and transfer pricing, but also a range of other topics, such as domestic tax compliance, tax controversy and the latest tax policy developments. Download the DDTC Academy 2026 Programme.

DDTC recognises that within the tax education and training ecosystem, quality facilities are also essential. Accordingly, DDTC Academy continues to develop its facilities in line with participants' needs, including the provision of a participant dashboard on its website.

For DDTC, this MURI award is not the finish line, but rather a moment of momentum to continue strengthening its role as a Learning Ground for Future Tax Talents: Home of Indonesia's Internationally Recognised Tax Training.

This position reflects DDTC Academy's commitment to continuing to develop Indonesian tax talent capable of competing at the international level through credible, research-based and globally recognised education.
