DDTC Academy and DAMRI Hold Training on Internal Transfer Pricing

DDTC Academy, together with Perum DAMRI (DAMRI), held an in-house training (IHT) on inter-unit transfer pricing in the context of management accounting for performance evaluation. The IHT was held in person at the DAMRI Office – Workshop Unit, Jakarta, on Thursday (20/8/2026).

The IHT presenters were two experienced DDTC professionals in the field of transfer pricing, namely DDTC Consulting Assistant Manager Novi Hartanti, S.E., Akt., CPA., BKP. and DDTC Consulting Senior Specialist Shihab Fatahillah, S.Ak., BKP..

The IHT was attended by 30 participants comprising staff through to vice presidents from various DAMRI work units. This reflects DAMRI's commitment to strengthening its human resources' capacity in relation to the application of internal transfer pricing to support performance evaluation of DAMRI's work units.

During the training, the presenters began with a discussion of the basic concepts of transfer pricing from a tax perspective. The discussion covered an understanding of special relationships, the arm's length principle (ALP) and the fundamental aspects of transfer pricing analysis.

The discussion then moved on to inter-unit transfer pricing in the context of management accounting and its differences from transfer pricing in the tax context. Participants were guided through the differences in objectives, the basis for price determination, and the considerations applied in the two perspectives.

The presenters then examined the schemes and methods of inter-unit transfer pricing in the context of management accounting. This section covered various transfer pricing approaches that may be used in accordance with the objectives and internal management needs of the company.

In the final section, the presenters discussed the recording of transactions following the application of inter-unit transfer pricing in the context of management accounting. Participants gained an understanding of internal transaction recording and its relationship to management reports and unit performance measurement.

Through this IHT, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of transfer pricing from both a tax and management accounting perspective. These discussions are expected to support the application of inter-unit transfer pricing within the company's management structure.

Those interested in holding a similar training to that of DAMRI are welcome to submit a personalised training application via the DDTC Academy website. In addition to IHT, there is also an IHT-Advisory scheme worth considering.
