JAKARTA, DDTCNews — Minister of Finance, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has urged the National Single Window Institution (Lembaga National Single Window/LNSW in Indonesian) to continue developing the Indonesia National Single Window (INSW) system.

According to Purbaya, the INSW must be capable of estimating the potential tax and non-tax state revenue (penerimaan negara bukan pajak/PNBP in Indonesian) liabilities that companies ought to pay. The relevant data can then be compared against income tax returns and royalty payment documents.

As such, the government can identify discrepancies between potential tax obligations based on economic activity and the obligations that have been reported. "Going forward, every company can be detected for how much of its payment obligations is underpaid," said Purbaya, as quoted on Thursday (10/9/2026).

Purbaya explained that the INSW also needs to be developed so that it is capable of analysing potential revenue from transactions that occurred in previous years.

On account of this measure, the government will be able to supervise both ongoing transactions and those that have already taken place.

"Activities like this can go back several years. If it was a year ago, everything can be seen. Going forward, no one will be able to play games anymore," said Purbaya.

Purbaya stressed that the reform of this system aims to strengthen supervision and to issue warnings to companies to comply with applicable regulations.

"So going forward, no one will be able to play games anymore. We will monitor this more carefully," said Purbaya.

For information, the LNSW has equipped INSW with artificial intelligence (AI). AI is required to process and analyse transaction data.

Automated data processing is expected to assist the government in obtaining a comprehensive picture of economic activity and cross-jurisdictional trade. (dik)
