JAKARTA, DDTCNews - The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) will review the performance of the Coretax administration system on an ongoing basis throughout the tax administrative penalty reduction or nullification programme.

DGT Director of Tax Dissemination, Service and Public Relations, Inge Diana Rismawanti, said the review activities are aimed at detecting and addressing technical disruptions to Coretax as quickly as possible.

"Should any issues arise, remedial action will be taken according to the type of disruption, accompanied by technical coordination and the provision of information to taxpayers through DGT's official channels," she said on Wednesday (21/10/2026).

In addition to conducting reviews, the DGT also evaluates every issue that occurs on Coretax. This is intended to ensure that issues are addressed appropriately and that tax administration services can be restored promptly.

This way, the impact of such technical disruptions on taxpayers can be minimised. "The DGT also continues to evaluate every issue on Coretax to promptly restore services and minimise the impact on taxpayers," Inge explained.

Inge added that the DGT is also strengthening Coretax's capacity to anticipate a surge in taxpayer access ahead of the end of the period for the utilisation of the tax administrative penalty reduction or nullification facility of up to 100% on 31 December 2026.

On the other hand, she urged taxpayers not to wait until the deadline to apply for the penalty relief. In her view, applying earlier via Coretax can help facilitate the process and reduce the risk of an access backlog ahead of the deadline.

"We encourage taxpayers not to wait until the final deadline for the submission process to proceed more smoothly," said Inge. (rig)
