Danantara Requested to Transfer IDR120 Trillion Profit as Fiscal Buffe
JAKARTA, DDTCNews — President Prabowo Subianto has instructed Danantara to place profits worth IDR120 trillion into the state treasury.
Minister of Finance, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, said the decision was taken when Prabowo chaired a limited cabinet meeting attended by ministers.
"This was not a discussion at Danantara. It originated from a limited cabinet meeting with the President. He made the decision. We comply with it," said Purbaya, as quoted on Thursday (10/9/2026).
Purbaya also stated that the limited cabinet meeting in question was attended by representatives from Danantara.
According to him, the profit distribution by Danantara worth IDR120 trillion is not intended to reduce the fiscal deficit, but rather to serve as a reserve or fiscal buffer.
"It is a reserve so that our fiscal buffer is stronger," said Purbaya.
Purbaya said the profits in question would be distributed to the government this year. However, the distribution of the profits would be implemented taking into account Danantara's readiness.
"The President's instruction is clear. The timing of the transfer depends on Danantara's readiness," said Purbaya. (dik)
