JAKARTA, DDTCNews - Customs and excise revenue was realised at IDR240.1 trillion, rising by 8.5% year-on-year through 30 September 2026.

Minister of Finance, Suahasil Nazara, assessed that customs and excise revenue performance through the end of the third quarter of 2026 was on track. He expressed confidence that the realisation could meet the set target of IDR336 trillion.

"Customs and excise has so far collected IDR240.1 trillion, which is 71.5% of the state budget target, a healthy position of collecting 71.5% of the state budget at three-quarters of the year," he said, as quoted on Sunday (11/10/2026).

Suahasil further reported on the performance of each component of customs and excise revenue from January through September 2026.

First, excise revenues collected totalled IDR167.7 trillion, rising by 2.7% compared with IDR163.3 trillion collected in the same period of the previous year.

Suahasil assessed that growth in excise revenue was driven by consistent enforcement activities and an increase in domestic cigarette production.

Second, import duty was realised at IDR41.6 trillion, growing 13.6% compared with only IDR36.6 trillion in the same period of the previous year. Import duty continued to grow positively, influenced by increases in import volume and value.

Third, export duty collected totalled IDR30.9 trillion, surging 44.5% compared with only IDR21.4 trillion collected in the previous year. This component recorded high growth driven by increases in the price and volume of crude palm oil (CPO) exports.

According to Suahasil, the robust customs and excise collection performance was attributable, among other factors, to the extensive supervision and enforcement activities carried out by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGCE) against the circulation of illegal excisable goods (barang kena cukai/BKC in Indonesian) as well as export and import trade crimes.

"And more importantly, it is the activities carried out by our colleagues in customs and excise, namely the strengthening of supervision,” he claimed. (rig)
