IPB Students Visit DDTC Office, Explore Careers in Taxation
JAKARTA, DDTCNews – A total of 32 students from the Tax Centre of IPB University's Vocational School conducted a company visit to Menara DDTC today, Friday (14/8/2026).
The visit allowed the students to learn more about business processes and career prospects at a globally competitive tax firm such as DDTC. Also present at the event was Mela Nurdialy, Overseer of the Tax Centre of IPB University's Vocational School.
Representing DDTC Founder Darussalam, DDTC Head of Human Capital, Adinda Nur Larasati, presented DDTC's business processes and various matters that students need to prepare to build a career in the tax consultancy industry.
According to Adinda, one of the keys to becoming a competent tax practitioner is the willingness to keep learning and developing one's thinking. She also shared a message from DDTC's founder regarding the 3 keys to success for a tax practitioner.
"Mr Darussalam (DDTC Founder) shared the keys to success as a tax practitioner, namely to consistently read, write and publish our thoughts," she said.
Adinda emphasised that these three things are crucial to building competence whilst also demonstrating the thinking and contribution of a professional in the field of taxation.
Further, she also introduced the various resources that DDTC has to support the development of tax knowledge, including DDTC Library and DDTC Academy, which recently achieved two MURI Records simultaneously.
DDTC Library received the MURI Record as the Tax Library with the Largest Collection of Tax Literature. Meanwhile, DDTC Academy received the MURI Record as the First Provider of International Tax and Transfer Pricing Training, Recognised by the Chartered Institute of Taxation, UK.
"This demonstrates how DDTC is not solely focused on business, but also has a strong commitment to the development of knowledge and competence in the field of taxation," said Adinda.
Tips for Starting a Career at DDTC
On the same occasion, DDTC Human Capital Generalist, Inayya Putri Pidata, delivered a presentation on the opportunities and preparations that students can undertake to begin a career at DDTC.
She explained that an internship experience at DDTC not only provides students with the opportunity to work, but also serves as a means to learn about taxation from its foundations.
According to her, students who participate in the Executive Internship Program at DDTC have the opportunity to learn and interact directly with mentors who are experienced tax practitioners.
"Interning at DDTC is not just about working, but also about learning tax from its foundations. Through the Executive Internship Program, participants have the opportunity to meet mentors who are tax practitioners whose standing is beyond doubt," she said.
Inayya added that the experience can equip students to understand how the knowledge acquired during their studies is applied in the professional world.
In addition to the presentations, the visit also included a discussion and question-and-answer session. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about DDTC's business processes, career opportunities, and the experience of working in the tax industry.
As a token of appreciation for the students' participation in the event, DDTC also distributed 5 copies of the book entitled Persetujuan Penghindaran Pajak Berganda: Panduan, Interpretasi, dan Aplikasi (Edisi Kedua)).
The five books were awarded to the 3 best questioners in the discussion session and 2 individuals with the best comments on the DDTCNews article relating to the visit.
Through this company visit, students from the Tax Centre of IPB University's Vocational School are expected to gain a more comprehensive picture of the professional world in the field of taxation, whilst also preparing themselves to pursue a career in the tax industry. (rig)
