Large Taxpayer Office One Holds Meeting to Welcome 301 New Taxpayers

JAKARTA, DDTCNews — The Large Taxpayer Office (Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Wajib Pajak Besar in Indonesian) One held a meeting entitled The Beginning of a Strategic Partnership Towards Sustainable Tax Compliance with 301 taxpayers newly transferred from regional tax offices to Large Taxpayer Office One pursuant to KEP-00003/PDH-CT/PJ/2026.

Head of Large Taxpayer Office One, Affan Nuruliman, in his opening remarks, expressed his utmost appreciation to taxpayers whose place of registration has been transferred from their former tax office to Large Taxpayer Office One. Affan stated that every rupiah of tax payment contributes to the implementation of government programmes and national construction.

"In every drop of subsidised fuel purchased by a minibus driver at the edge of a village, in every brick neatly laid in a school building, in every stretch of tarmac connecting cities and villages, there is actually one thing in common. In all of these, there is a tax contribution by taxpayers," claimed Affan at the Dr. K.R.T. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat Building, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (30/7/2026).

Affan stated that with the addition of 301 taxpayers, the target for Large Taxpayer Office One has risen to IDR175.5 trillion. The target for Large Taxpayer Office One is the fourth largest compared with other tax offices.

Large Taxpayer Office One focuses on managing taxpayers operating in the mining, mining support services and financial services sectors. Affan has also committed to building a relationship founded on mutual trust between taxpayers and the tax authority.

"Tax officers trust that you are honest. The self-assessment concept assumes taxpayers are honest. Hence, taxpayers are requested to self-register, self-assess their own liability and so forth," said Affan.

Nevertheless, the existence of mutual trust does not prevent Large Taxpayer Office One from exercising its authority as set out in tax provisions.

"Sometimes we do audit companies. If a company has not been audited for 3 years, we audit it once out of due diligence. I can assure you that my auditors will not go looking for irregularities outside the corridors of statutory laws and regulations. It is about mutual trust," said Affan.

Large Taxpayer Office One has committed to establishing legal certainty by providing equal treatment to all taxpayers.

Moreover, Large Taxpayer Office One has also committed to maintaining effective communication with taxpayers through various forums, including the forum held today.

"We, Large Taxpayer Office One, do not merely regard you as taxpayers. You are strategic partners of the government who will oversee and ensure that this nation continues to operate independently, building this country towards greater prosperity and well-being," said Affan.

At the same time, Affan encouraged taxpayers to assist Large Taxpayer Office One in maintaining the integrity of tax officers.

"It takes 2 people for corruption to occur. If 1 person acts improperly but the other reminds them, it will not happen. Let us uphold our integrity and ensure that no further issues arise out there," said Affan.

At the event, Large Taxpayer Office One also invited DDTC. DDTCNews Editor-in-Chief, Kurniawan Agung Wicaksono, attended the event, representing DDTC Founder, Darussalam.

Large Taxpayer Office One also introduced the heads of sections, supervisors and auditors from the supervisory cluster acting as guardians for the taxpayers. The event continued with a brief dialogue between Affan and the taxpayers. (dik)
