DDTC Dispatches Professionals to Singapore for IP Rights & Tax
JAKARTA, DDTCNews – DDTC is once again sending its professionals abroad to further their knowledge. This time, 3 DDTC professionals will attend the Integrated IP, Valuation & Tax (IIVT): A Strategic Toolkit for Decision-Makers in Singapore from 5–7 October 2026.
The 3-day intensive training programme is organised by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) International and the Tax Academy of Singapore. The programme will cover a number of topics, including Intellectual Property (IP), valuation, and transfer pricing.
The participation of the 3 professionals in the programme is fully funded by DDTC with no service bond attached. This activity also forms part of the Human Resource Development Programme (HRDP) that DDTC consistently runs.
Of the three professionals, DDTC Consulting Senior Manager Muhammad Putrawal Utama will attend the full 3-day programme. Meanwhile, DDTC Consulting Senior Manager Khisi Armaya Dhora and DDTC Consulting Manager Wulan Clara Kartini will attend Module 3 for 1 day.
On the first day, participants will study Module 1: IP Strategy & Value Creation, which covers 4 learning topics, comprising:
- IP Identification & Strategic Positioning with Senior Director IP Applied Materials, Olivia Koentjoro;
- IP Commercialisation, Licensing & Structuring with Head of Legal Gojek Singapore, Sue-Ann Li;
- IP Due Diligence in M&A & Restructuring with Director, IP, Tech, Cyber & Data Law, Jevon Louis; and
- Integrated Case Studies & Panel Discussion Building and Commercialising an Innovation Business with Director of Valuation, Modeling & Economics, EY Corporate Advisors Pte Ltd, Guo Zhiyong.
On the second day, participants will study Module 2: Valuing Intangibles for Strategic Decisions, which covers 4 learning topics, comprising:
- IP/IA Valuation Fundamentals & Valuation Standards with Ernst & Young Solutions LLP Partner, Chua Ai Leng;
- IP Valuation in M&A and Strategic Transactions with Deloitte Partner , Leonard Woo;
- IP/IA Valuation in Regulatory Contexts and Disputes with PwC Partner, Lie Kok Keong; and
- Integrated Case Studies & Panel Discussion - Valuing IP and Intangibles with Director, Enterprise & Ecosystem, IPOS International, Fu Zhikang.
On the third day, participants will study Module 3: Tax Structuring: Aligning IP/IA and Business Models, which covers 4 learning topics, comprising:
- Tax Structuring: Aligning IP/IA and Business Models with Retired Big 4 Partner, Chester Wee;
- Tax Due Diligence in M&A and Restructuring with DeloitteExecutive Director, Daniel Ho;
- Transfer Pricing, Tax Treaties & Dispute Resolution with KPMG Partner, Yong Sing Yuan;
- Integrated Case Studies & Panel Discussion - Aligning Value Creation and Tax Outcome with Executive Vice President, Singapore Economic Development Board, Jillian Lim.
Further, this HRDP represents a concrete manifestation of one of DDTC's missions, namely investing in human resources. This mission also aligns with DDTC's vision of becoming a research-, technology- and knowledge-based tax institution that sets the standards and beyond.
Each year, DDTC provides its professionals with opportunities to participate in various competency development programmes, both domestically and abroad.
Such support is provided through, among others, professional training and full scholarships to pursue postgraduate education at leading universities around the world.
Meanwhile, DDTC Founder Darussalam, who is also one of Indonesia's most frequently referenced tax experts, stated that DDTC consistently provides its professionals with opportunities to enhance their competencies through various education and training programmes, both domestically and abroad.
