JAKARTA, DDTCNews - The government has disbursed transfers to regions (transfer ke daerah/TKD in Indonesian) to local governments amounting to IDR95.3 trillion in January 2026.

Deputy Minister of Finance, Suahasil Nazara, noted that the realisation of TKD disbursements rose by 0.6% compared with the same period last year. Under the 2026 state budget, the government has allocated a TKD ceiling of IDR692.99 trillion.

"Transfers to regions totalling IDR95.3 trillion have been disbursed in January 2026, including TKD of both a regular nature and on top, particularly for several disaster-affected regions," he said, as quoted on Wednesday (25/2/2026).

Suahasil stated that the January TKD realisation comprised the revenue sharing funds (dana bagi hasil/DBH in Indonesian) of IDR2.7 trillion, the general allocation funds (dana alokasi umum/DAU in Indonesian) of IDR62.8 trillion and the non-physical special allocation funds (dana alokasi khusus/DAK in Indonesian) of IDR29.9 trillion.

Meanwhile, a portion of TKD funds has yet to be disbursed by the state treasury, as local governments have not yet fulfilled the distribution requirements or the disbursement schedule has not yet been reached. The TKD in question includes the physical special allocation fund, grants, the special autonomy fund, the Special Region of Yogyakarta fund, the village funds and the fiscal incentive funds.

Further, Suahasil reported that the government has channelled TKD to 3 disaster-affected regions, namely Aceh Province, North Sumatra (Sumut) and West Sumatra. TKD was provided without distribution requirements as a relaxation measure for local governments affected by disasters.

He explained that the total TKD disbursed to those 3 provinces amounted to IDR9.83 trillion as of 31 January. The funds were channelled to 19 local governments in Aceh Province receiving TKD of IDR3.09 trillion, 17 local governments in West Sumatra receiving IDR2.60 trillion and 18 local governments in North Sumatra receiving IDR4.14 trillion.

Suahasil also stated that the government would inject an additional TKD ceiling of IDR10.65 trillion for 67 regions across Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra. These transfer funds will be disbursed in stages beginning this week.

"TKD will begin to be disbursed in stages from the end of February. Starting next week, disaster-affected regions will begin to receive additional transfers to regions beyond [TKD] of a regular nature," the Deputy Minister of Finance concluded. (dik)
