DGT Sends Email Reminders to New Corporate Taxpayers
JAKARTA, DDTCNews - The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has sent a blast email to corporate taxpayers newly registered in 2025 that have not yet filed their 2025 Annual Corporate Income Tax Return (tax return).
The sending of the email forms part of the DGT's effort to assist taxpayers in fulfilling their tax obligations pursuant to applicable provisions.
"The email contains an appeal to file the Annual Corporate Income Tax Return for the 2025 Tax Year pursuant to the applicable provisions through the Coretax DGT portal (https://coretaxdjp.pajak.go.id)," the DGT wrote in Announcement Number PENG-52/PJ.09/2026, as cited on Thursday (27/8/2026).
Referring to Article 3 paragraph (1) of PER-3/PJ/2026, the filing of an annual income tax return by a taxpayer may be conducted for a tax year; and/or a fraction of a tax year.
An annual tax return for a tax year is filed by a taxpayer whose subjective tax obligation has existed from the beginning of the tax year through to the end of the tax year.
On the contrary, an annual income tax return for a fraction of a tax year is filed by a taxpayer whose subjective tax obligation commences and/or ends within the tax year; or that changes their accounting year and has received approval from the Director General of Taxes as stipulated under Article 28 paragraph (6) of the General Taxation Provisions and Procedures Law.
The commencement of subjective tax obligation for a corporate taxpayer begins at the time the entity is incorporated or becomes domiciled in Indonesia.
Corporate taxpayers that receive an email from the DGT may follow the tax return filing steps set out in the email.
In line with the sending of the email, the DJP reminds taxpayers to remain vigilant against fraud committed in the name of the tax authority.
The DGT affirms that official emails sent by the DJP use only the @pajak.go.id domain. Taxpayers are also advised to verify the sender's address before following any instructions contained in the email.
The DGT also affirms that all tax services are provided free of charge. Further, the DGT never requests payment to personal bank accounts and never sends links outside the DGT's official website.
"Any email sent from a domain other than @pajak.go.id should be regarded as fraudulent," the DGT announcement states.
To obtain further information or to verify the authenticity of information received, taxpayers may contact the DGT's official service channels.
Taxpayers may contact their nearest Tax Office (Kantor Pelayanan Pajak/KPP in Indonesian) via the list of work units on the DGT website or the M-Pajak application. In addition, taxpayers may use the live chat service on the DGT website, Kring Pajak 1500200, the X account @kring_pajak and the email [email protected]. (dik)
