JAKARTA, DDTCNews - Discussions surrounding tax amnesty have once again gained traction. A third round of tax amnesty (Tax Amnesty 3.0) is being widely floated as part of the government’s efforts to boost tax revenues and improve the investment climate.
In line with this discourse, the Legislative Body (Badan Legislasi in Indonesian) of the House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat/DPR in Indonesian) has included a revision of Law 11/2016 concerning Tax Amnesty in the 2025 National Legislative Program (program legislasi nasional/Prolegnas in Indonesian). The proposed amendment to the Tax Amnesty Law is being prepared as a parliamentary initiative.
This raises key questions: what changes are being proposed to the Tax Amnesty Law, and which sectors will be covered under Tax Amnesty 3.0?
To address these issues, the Tax Accountants Compartment of the Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants (Kompartemen Akuntan Perpajakan - Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia/KAPj-IAI in Indonesian) will hold a Regular Tax Discussion themed The Direction of Tax Amnesty Policy on Wednesday, 16 April 2025.
The discussion will feature a number of prominent figures and experts in taxation, including DDTC Founder and KAPj IAI Board Member Darussalam; Chairperson of Commission XI of the House of Representatives, Mukhamad Misbakhun and Chairperson of the Indonesian Employers Association (Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia/Apindo in Indonesian), Shinta W. Kamdani.
The opening speech will be delivered by Chairperson of the IAI National Leadership Council (DPN IAI), Ardan Adiperdana, while the closing remarks will be presented by Chairperson of the Tax Accountants Compartment of the Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants, John Hutagaol. The discussion will be moderated by Managing Partner of PB Taxand and the Tax Accountants Compartment of the Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants Board Member, Permana Adi Saputra.
