JAKARTA, DDTCNews - Tax Academy of Singapore (TAS) has launched a dedicated webpage on its official website highlighting its partnership with DDTC in professional competency development and tax knowledge exchange.

The page, titled DDTC x Tax Academy of Singapore, forms part of the Partnerships in Action section. The page carries a mission to strengthen tax knowledge, professional development and networking between Singapore and Indonesia.

“Tax Academy of Singapore (TA) and DDTC share a commitment to advancing tax education and developing the capabilities of the tax profession," TAS wrote on its official website, as cited on Tuesday (27/10/2026).

Through the webpage, TAS states that the relationship between the two institutions combines TAS's regional apprenticeship platform with DDTC's engagement in the Indonesian tax community.

TAS notes that DDTC professionals have participated in TAS programmes for many years, deepening their knowledge of international taxation whilst exchanging perspectives with academics, practitioners and fellow professionals.

TAS also notes that DDTCNews has reported on various TAS regional programmes and activities, enabling insights from those programmes to reach a broader readership.

Notably, TAS has provided dedicated documentation on the page compiling dozens of DDTCNews reports on TAS programmes and activities. The documentation covers dozens of publications throughout 2026, 2025 and preceding years.

TAS specifically states that its relationship with DDTC encompasses 3 key areas. First, professional development through DDTC professionals' participation in TAS programmes covering international taxation, transfer pricing and various current tax practice issues.

Second, knowledge sharing through DDTCNews publications. Reporting by DDTC professionals who have attended TAS programmes covers a range of topics, including intangibles, intra-group services, digital business models and tax dispute prevention and resolution.

Third, the strengthening of professional networks between Indonesia and Singapore as a foundation for exploring further cooperation opportunities in tax education and knowledge exchange.

DDTC Founder Darussalam views the partnership with TAS as part of DDTC's commitment to continually strengthening Indonesia's tax knowledge ecosystem through international collaboration.

"Tax knowledge knows no national borders. Collaboration with international institutions such as TAS serves as a means of bringing together diverse perspectives, broadening access to knowledge and at the same time, promoting the development of a better Indonesian tax system," said Darussalam.

He added that the cooperation also reflects the importance of connectivity between education, research and professional practice in navigating the dynamics of global taxation.

"For DDTC, international collaboration is not merely about building networks, but also about ensuring that the knowledge gained can be developed and make a tangible contribution to society," he added.

Meanwhile, DDTC Co-Founder, Danny Septriadi, highlighted the importance of inter-institutional collaboration in enhancing the professional competency of tax practitioners amid increasingly complex regulatory and tax practice developments.

"Professional competency development cannot be pursued in isolation. Collaboration, knowledge exchange and international networking are all necessary to equip Indonesian tax professionals with an ever-broader perspective," said Danny.

He added that the relationship between DDTC and TAS is also aligned with DDTC's commitment to extending the benefits of the various competency development activities attended by its professionals.

“For DDTC, this collaboration is not only about enhancing internal professional competency, but also about how the knowledge and experience gained can deliver wider benefits to the Indonesian tax community," said Danny.

Strengthening Collaboration

On the same page, TAS also highlights the meeting between TAS CEO Dennis Lui and DDTC Co-Founder Danny Septriadi in Jakarta in September 2026.

The meeting discussed opportunities to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions, particularly in tax education, professional development, and knowledge exchange. On that occasion, Dennis also presented an appreciation plaque to Danny.

As previously reported, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the launch of the Professional Service (PS) Centre Jakarta on Friday (4/9/2026).

Throughout 2026, the relationship between the two institutions has also been reflected through various activities. DDTC attended TAS's 20th anniversary celebration on 31 July 2026, which also marked the launch of the Tax Academy of Singapore Hub.

Subsequently, DDTC sent 6 professionals to participate in the WU-TA Advanced Transfer Pricing Programme 2026 from 28 September to 1 October 2026. The programme was organised by TAS in conjunction with the WU Transfer Pricing Center.

DDTC also once again sent its professionals to participate in the Integrated IP, Valuation & Tax (IIVT): A Strategic Toolkit for Decision-Makers programme, organised by IPOS International together with TAS.

TAS introduces DDTC as an Indonesian tax institution with expertise in domestic and international taxation. According to TAS, DDTC combines professional services with research, technology, and knowledge development.

TAS specifically highlights DDTC Academy, DDTCNews, DDTC Library and Perpajakan DDTC as part of DDTC's commitment to human resource development and broadening access to tax knowledge.

Further, with regard to education and literacy, DDTC Library recently set a record at the Museum Rekor - Dunia Indonesia (MURI) for holding the largest collection of tax literature. In addition to DDTC Library, DDTC Academy also set a MURI record as the first operator of international tax and transfer pricing training in Indonesia to be recognised by an international body.
